3 killed in fresh spree of violence

Three persons, including caretaker of Jamia Al-Mustafa, were killed and one other injured in different incidents of violence in the city on Saturday.

Maulana Liaquat, 40, son of Saeed Muhammad, the guardian of Jamia Al-Mustafa, was killed in an armed attack near Safoora Chowrangi. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. Police rushed to the crime scene and started investigations.

A body of a 30-years-old unknown person was found from ARD Colony near Landhi Hospital, Chowrangi. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a post-mortem examination.

Separately, a man was found dead under Raxer Flyover. The body was shifted to JMPC for autopsy. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet. Muhammad Ali, 28, son of Muhammad Akram, was shot at and injured by unknown robbers on resistance in Baldia Town No-9. The injured was rushed to ASH for treatment.
