Rawalpindi Additional District and Sessions Judge Justice Javed Mir has issued orders to Rawalpindi Westridge SHO to register a case and initiate immediate proceedings against the prime accused involved in the issuance of fake letters for appointment in Capital Development Authority (CDA).
According to reports, the prime accused, Ghulam Mohiuddin is alleged to have issued illegal appointment letters to the citizens on behalf of the CDA, one year back.
Muhammad Noman, resident of Chohar Pall, told the court through his counsel Advocate Malik Kamran Noon that Mohiuddin, who used to pose as a CDA sub engineer, had issued fake appointment letters and fake service card in respect of CDA to different people, including his brother and wheedled Rs 500,000 from him. When his brother went to the CDA office for giving a joining report he came to know that the appointment letter was fake.
The petitioner’s counsel told the court that Mohiuddin grabbed million of rupees from several people and issued fake appointment letters in connivance with senior officers of the CDA.
The counsel alleged that no departmental action has been taken against the accused.
He further said that Mohiuddin used to sit in an office in the CDA building and issue appointment letters, adding that the accused has used the CDA office illegally.
The petitioner’s counsel alleged that innocent citizens visit the CDA office daily with fake appointment letters but no one pays heed to them.
