Grappetite’s study, released in the form of info graphics, also reveals that 77% of the country’s smartphone users age ranges between 21 and 30 years – an indication that smart devices are mainly used by the country’s young population. In contrast, those over 41 years of age comprise only 1% of total smartphone users.
The study also found that 41% users had over Rs 500 monthly budget for mobile phone usage while 26% had less Rs150 monthly budget for their mobile phone needs. It also found that 60% of people used more than one handset mainly due to security reasons – mobile phone snatching is rampant in Karachi.

I am living on the edge of Defense colony Peshawar, we are unable to get 3G & 4G signal of any Telecom operator. What kind of technology betterment is this, that only limited Towers in City & Cantt & Hayatabad Areas are providing 3G services to the subscribers. Telecom operators should also be blamed for the pathetic approach. In short Peshawar is a small place but even though most of the developed & advance users area are still blank from 3G services.

due to RF limitations, 3G signals fluctuates with 2G while using it indoor, 3G is costly, coverage issues, bandwidth issues in operators core etc will make it very less popular in the coming days…
3G Coverage is not proper and speed is much slower than wifi, why people should use 3G?
You need to wait for proper 3G coverage. It’s not possible for operators to provide full coverage in a flash. Priorities have been set by the operators and they have given time by the regulator PTA in which they have to provide specific amount of coverage all over Pakistan.
