ISLAMABAD-

Members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday approached the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s qualification as a National Assembly member, a private news channel reported.

According to details, PTI members Ali Mohammad Khan and Murad Saeed arrived at the ECP to file a petition against PM Sharif and demand action against him under Article 62, 63 of the constitution.

The PTI members maintained that Sharif is ineligible to become a National Assembly member under the aforementioned articles, adding that the PM was convicted in the plane hijacking case and Asghar Khan case and should be dealt with according to the law.

  1. He was set free in hijacking case by SC in review petition and Asghar Khan Case verdict merely says that investigation should be done to bring the beneficiaries of the ISI funded money to book. In other words there is no valid verdict against NS in any court of law anywhere. Seems a political stunt by supporters of ZANI KHAN!
