National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has sought a report from regional NAB Punjab in Formanites Housing Scheme fraud case worth Rs500 million.

According to sources, the housing scheme allegedly cheated the public by selling fake plots. The regional bureau has so far received 900 claims from the general public.

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had approved 1,200 kanals of land for Phase-I of the scheme but the housing scheme owners sold many thousands of kanals of fake land.

The NAB chairman has directed Punjab NAB DG to expedite the recovery process in the case so that the general public can be compensated and sought a report from the regional NAB DG within seven days.
