Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected contempt of court plea against Ministry Of Science and Technology Secretary Kamran Ali Qureshi and directed the petitioner to file the petition afresh.

A single bench of IHC led by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui took up Mama Saeed versus Information and Technology secretary case for hearing Wednesday.

Muhammad Ramzan counsel for the petitioner told the court that the petitioner was working as assistant in grade-17 in department of Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technology (PCRET) of ministry of science and technology.

PCRET director general sacked him in April, 2014. The petitioner approached high court against his dismissal from service orders.

The counsel for petitioner told that the court had issued orders on previous hearing that secretary science and technology should provide opportunity for doing justice to the petitioner. However, the petitioner filed contempt of court petition against the secretary science and technology in the court on non implementation of high court orders.

The counsel told the court that his client has not been provided opportunity of personal hearing.

The court while dismissing contempt of court plea directed the petitioner to file plea afresh in the court and proceed further.
