One person was killed and seven others sustained injuries in a cylinder blast at a hotel located in Karachi Company area (G-9 sector) on Tuesday morning.
Police and rescue team reached the sport and shifted the dead bodies to hospital.
A spokesperson of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) told journalists that at least eight injured were brought to the hospital and one succumbed to injuries. He said four injured were discharged after the treatment while three of the injured were in critical condition.
SP Captain Ilyas said the building has been evacuated, adding no part of the building collapsed; only its glasses broke down owing to the intensity of the blast.
