The Rawalpindi College Directorate has decided to start two new colleges in the city to ensure maximum enrolment in September on the beginning of new academic year.
According to reports, classes of first year and third year will be started in Government Boys Shahbaz Sharif Degree College Khayaban-e-Sir Syed and Government Boys Degree College Dhok Syedan. The buildings of the colleges have been completed while funds have been released for furniture and other goods.
Almost 1,000 students will be enrolled in arts, science and computer programs. Selection and recruitment of teachers for the colleges will also be completed in August. With the addition of these two colleges, the number of boys’ colleges in Rawalpindi will mount to six.
