Calls upon world nations to play their role in stopping India from committing “ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri people.”

Hurriyet Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kashmir clearly reflects ‘expansionist intentions’.

According to a statement, an ‘emergency’ meeting of the Hurriyet Conference presided over by Shabir Shah was held in Srinagar. Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Fayaz Ahmad and two members from each associated party took part in the conference.

The statement added that during the meeting, the political change and formation of a new government in New Delhi and its ‘extremist’ policy about the Kashmir issue was deliberated upon.

The statement, quoting the speakers while commenting on Modi’s visit to Kashmir said, “The purpose for which Modi came here clearly reflected the expansionist intentions aimed at strengthening the Delhi’s rule here.”

The issue of providing separate settlements for Kashmiri ‘pandits’ is one such exercise aimed at tarnishing the unity and centuries old tradition of brotherhood between Kashmiri Muslims and ‘pandits’.”

They said the Sangh organisations, held the Hindutva ideology right from their beginning and they could go to any extent to pursue their goal.

Per the statement, the leaders said, “It is our responsibility to devise a proper and well-planned strategy to make the plans of such elements unsuccessful. As such, there is also a need to collaborate with like-minded organizations.”

The speakers said that such plans are detrimental for the peace in subcontinent and it is the responsibility of world nations to contribute towards finding an everlasting solution to the core issue of Kashmir in order to prevent the subcontinent from any possible threat, adding, “The world nations should also play their role in stopping India from committing ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri people.”
