Gullu Butt filed a bail petition in a local court on Saturday, a private news channel reported.
According to details, Butt’s advocate Wahid Hussain filed the petition stating that the case registered against him was false and so he should be released.
Butt, a police tout, rose to prominence when he was caught on TV cameras while damaging a number of vehicles in the presence of police outside the Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat.
Butt was cheered on by the police personnel as he smashed private vehicles during the clash between the police and workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
