At least two North Waziristan IDPs were killed on Friday when unidentified gunmen opened fire at the registration camp for the internally displaced at Government High School No 4 Mundan in Bannu district.
Mandan Police SHO Saadullah confirmed that the firing incident that occurred in the camp near Shawal Noor petrol pump had claimed two lives. One of the deceased belonged to Shawa area of Mirali.
Constable Roohul Amin present on the site of the incident arrested the accused and shifted him to a nearby police station.
According to initial information, the incident may have been the result of an old enmity. However, a probe into the incident was underway.
