With the Monsoon season around the corner, the construction work of the mega Metro Bus Project is in the safe hands and there is no threat from torrential rains. There are no repercussions of the heavy downpour in the twin cities’ construction site of Metro Bus Project.

The 36 percent construction work already completed, the Metro Bus Project is expected to be ready by two to three months ahead of its stipulated time that would ultimately give great relief and benefit to the residents of the twin cities.

The Monsoon season, which starts in the country in July, is expected to be a bit different as its span would be larger this year.

According to a statement by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the ratio of rains is expected to remain normal to below normal in this season.

The construction work on this mega project would continue uninterrupted, as the concerned authorities have taken pre-emptive and precautions measures to avoid any untoward situation.

The project, launched by the Punjab government, aims to provide modern transport facility to the residents of the twin cities.

A track of 22.5 kilometres – 8.6 km elevated corridor in Rawalpindi and 13.9 km on the ground in Islamabad – is being constructed for the metro bus project.
