Taking IDPs on a ‘date’

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Relief Commissioner and Board of Revenue Senior Member Nadeem Ashraf dispatched 60 tonnes of dates through eight trucks costing more than Rs 13 million for the displaced persons of North Waziristan.

The chief relief commissioner said on the occasion that Punjab government will continue to help the displaced persons of North Waziristan. He said that Punjab government was providing all possible help to its Pakhtun brothers and sisters in this hour of trial. He said that helping homeless persons of North Waziristan is our religious, moral and national obligation.
