Muhammad Riaz, an officer of Custom Group has assumed the charge of National Assembly secretary w.e.f July 1, 2014.
Riaz has been made NA secretary after the retirement of former NA secretary Karamat Hussain Niazi on June 30, 2014.
Riaz is the 19th secretary of the National Assembly.
He was serving as additional secretary (administration) in the Secretariat before assuming the charge of secretary and has experience of serving in various government departments.
