Fresh strikes by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets killed at least 16 terrorists on Sunday in the outskirts of Mir Ali of North Waziristan , a private news channel reported.
According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants hideouts were targeted in the airstrikes. Seven hideouts were destroyed along with 16 terrorists killed.
A large ammunition dump of the militants was also destoryed in the operation, added the statement.
On Monday (today), DG ISPR Asim Bajwa issued a statement on Twitter announcing a house-to-house search in the ground operation kicked off today in Miranshah following evacuation of all civil population.
