Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad has imposed a complete ban on official iftar dinners across the province.
According to a communiqué issued by CM House on Sunday, Shahbaz Sharif has directed ministers and officials of the Punjab government to avoid arranging iftar dinners at the cost of public funds. He also warned of strict action against the violators.
The CM Punjab said that the province was already facing financial crunch and not able to bear the expanses of official iftar parties.
