PM announces jobs for heirs of martyred ASF personnel

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced on Thursday to provide jobs to the heirs of the Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel killed in the Karachi airport attack.

The prime minister also presented financial support cheques to the families of the victims at a ceremony at the PM House.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Aviation Captain (retd) Shujaat Azeem, Aviation Secretary Muhammad Ali Gardezi and ASF Director General Brigadier Muhammad Azam were present on the occasion.

While acknowledging the sacrifices of the ASF martyrs, Nawaz said, “They laid down their lives saving their motherland and their sacrifices will not go in vain.”

“We stand by you in your hour of sadness,” he told the bereaved families.

“These martyrs safeguarded our national assets with their blood and made the whole nation proud.”

While condemning the terrorist attacks, he said the security of all airports had already been tightened and steps were being taken to upgrade logistic and technical support to further enhance security to avoid such incidents in future.
