Nation fully supports armed forces, Zarb-e-Azb: president

Two mobile health units for internally displaced persons provided by ShaheedZulfikarAliBhuttoMedicalUniversity and PIMS despatched to Bannu

President Mamnoon Hussain said on Friday that country’s armed forces and Operation Zarb-e-Azb has full support of the nation and the people stand united in the struggle to rid the country from the menace of terrorism.

“We greatly value the sacrifices being made by the people of the tribal areas, particularly the people of North Waziristan who have been displaced as a result of the operation and every effort would be made to facilitate and provide relief to the affected families,” said the president.

He was speaking on the occasion of despatching two Medical Mobile Health Units for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) provided by ShaheedZulfikarAliBhuttoMedicalUniversity and PIMS.

The president said the government was cognizant of the difficulties that were being faced by the people in IDP camps and every possible effort was being made to alleviate their sufferings.

Press Secretary to the President Saba Mohsin Raza informed the media that ShaheedZulfikarAliBhuttoMedicalUniversity and PIMS have dispatched two mobile health units for provision of medical care to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan.

She said these Medical Mobile Health Units will serve the displaced persons and their families.

Saba said that during his meeting with the delegation of ShaheedZulfikarAliBhuttoMedicalUniversity, the president greatly appreciated the gesture of the university and PIMS for providing Medical Mobile Health Units and also detailing paramedical staff and doctors for taking care of the health requirements of IDPs.

These mobile units, doctors, paramedics staff would remain in the affected area for the next 18 months, said the press secretary.
