Police on Thursday foiled a bank robbery attempt in North Nazimabad area, officials said.
Four robbers attempted to enter a private bank when police officials, deployed at the bank, moved to stop them. Both the sides resorted to firing, the SSP central said.
Amid exchange of fire, two robbers who sustained bullet wounds fled the scene. Police went after the robbers but could not arrest them, officials said. Meanwhile, five robbers were arrested from Steel Town area of the metropolis when they were busy looting a house in the area.
