ISLAMABAD-

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday blamed the banned terrorist outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for the failure of peace talks.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Bar Council, the PM said that the government took steps for establishing peace and holding dialogue with the TTP militants but, he added, the TTP foiled the government efforts.

Now the nation stands behind the army for the military offensive Zarb-e-Azb against the militants, he said.

Speaking on the current political scenario, the PM commented that sit-ins, protests and chaos cannot bring a revolution.

It is only through elections that a revolution can come, he said.

The premier vowed that the government would ensure more employment opportunities and would eliminate the economy and energy crisis.
