Sindh Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said flour will be provided from ‘Bachat Bazaars’ at Rs 30 per kilogram across the province for providing relief to the people during Ramazan.
The provincial minister said this while talking to media at his office, said a statement on Thursday. All flour mills will also set up fair price shops at the main entrance gates of their mills where flour would be sold at Rs 30 per kilogram, said Jam Mehtab Dahar.
The minister informed that the decision to this effect was made during a meeting between the Sindh food department and the Flour Mills Association.
He said a subsidy of Rs 3 billion had been given on wheat in the annual budget of the current year to provide relief to masses. He said all commissioners in Sindh had been asked to ensure sale of flour during Ramazan at the said price. He said the target of 12,20,000 tonnes of wheat procurement had been achieved.
