Let it rain over me

The weather became pleasant in the city and adjacent areas on Wednesday morning reducing the temperature as it rained for little over an hour.

In some areas it rained quite heavily, at others light to medium showers were recorded.

According to Met office, pre-monsoon rain will continue for another 48 hours in most parts of the country including the province.

The minimum temperature recorded during the day was 32 degree Celsius after the rain.

Met experts have also forecasted that the provincial capital will remain cloudy and light showers are expected in the next 48 hours.

People welcomed the rain and termed the showers a good sign at a time when preparation for the holy month of Ramazan are in full swing and the coming Saturday or Sunday will be the first day of the Islamic month.

70 FEEDERS TRIP DUE TO RAIN:

Rain played havoc in the provincial capital as one person was injured by lightening while power feeders tripped in several areas.

Iqbal Town, Garhishahu, Samanabad, Muslim Town and Thokar Niaz Baig were among the top affected areas. Power supply to these areas remained suspended but it was restored in some of the areas after the repair work.

In another incident, a person got injured when lightning struck him in Faisal Town.

The injured person was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
