LAHORE-
The city district government on Tuesday imposed a ban on taking bath at seven deep spots of the city’s canal.
The ban has been imposed formally through a notification under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), according to official sources.
At least four persons, including a six-year-old boy, drowned while taking a dip in the canal during the heat wave.
The city administration has also appointed monitoring teams, each led by two Irrigation Department executive engineers to monitor various points along the canal, including Harbanspura, Dharmpura, Ferozepur Road, Doctors Hospital and Thokar Niaz Beg for checking any violation of the ban.
They banned Basant. They banned bathing in the canal. They banned everything that promotes happiness. This is the hallmark of a Mullah mentality. If this continues Pakistan will implode.
