Two soldiers, civilian martyred as suicide bombing bid is foiled in North Waziristan

Three people, including two troops and a civilian, lost their lives on Tuesday in a failed suicide attempt by terrorists in Shawal area of North Waziristan, reported a private news channel.

According to details, a suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden car to Spinwam Hospital, his intended target, but he was intercepted at a security forces’ checkpost.

Upon interception, the suicide bomber rammed his car into the checkpost, martyring two soldiers and a civilian.

The incident was confirmed by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). One civilian was also reported injured.

The ISPR added that had there been no interception by the troops, the suicide bombing would have caused huge loss of life.
