The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed the provincial budget worth Rs 1,044 billion for fiscal year 2014-15.
The session started with Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal in the chair. No amendment proposed by the opposition was approved during the session.
The House also extended the Free Compulsory Education Ordinance 2014 for 90 days. The House passed the Management and Transfer of Properties by Development Authorities Ordinance 2014, the Bab-e-Pakistan Foundation Ordinance 2014.
Meanwhile, Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Bill was also presented in the House. The Punjab Assembly speaker handed over the bills to the relevant committee and sought report within two months.
