Former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Tuesday said that the Model Town tragedy was an administrative mismanagement and those responsible would be brought to justice.

Speaking to journalist in the city, Sanaullah further clarified that PAT-police clash was neither a planned action nor a conspiracy. He reiterated that he would be proved innocent from allegations in Model Town incident.

The former minister said police and civil administration had gone to Minhajul Quran Secretariat to remove barriers and no decision was taken to harm anybody. He said the judicial commission was conducting enquiry on daily basis and a fact-finding report would come to light soon. He said he would personally appear before the commission whenever he was called. He said he tendered resignation for a transparent enquiry by the judicial commission. He said the chief minister’s decision about formation of the judicial commission was accurate.

To a question, Sanaullah said Tahirul Qadri’s plane was diverted from Islamabad to Lahore to avoid loss of human lives.

Moreover, he said that Gullu Butt and Riaz Babar had nothing to do with PML-N and would be punished for their wrong deeds in accordance with the law.

  1. ACTIONS OF REMOVAL FROM LAW MINIISTRY IS NOT REASONABLE AND HAVE TAKEN WITHOUT ANY PRPER THINKING AND CONSIDERATIION.HOW MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE WERE KILLED IIN KARACHI AND HTDERABAD IN SINDH,BUT THE PROVINCIIAL GOVERNMENT OF SINDH OF PPP DIID NOT TAKE ANY ACTION AS CM OF PUNJAB HAS TAKEN,WE DO REJECT THIIS FORCED RESIGNATION AND CONDEMN AND ASK THEM TO REVIIEW IITS DECISIION AS MR.SANAULLAH IIS A VERY HARDWOKER AND SINCERE MEMBER OF PML N.

  2. If it was mismanagement as Sanaullah claims, then Shabaz Sharif should resign for not knowing what was going on. The IG should be booked for wilful murder. Simple.
