Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has rejected the offer of the Punjab government to provide desired security to PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar met Qadri at Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat on Tuesday and formally offered him to provide security on behalf of Punjab government, however PAT refused to avail the security.
Sources told that the Punjab government has also issued orders of releasing arrested PAT workers upon the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
On the other hand, PAT General Secretary Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said, “How can we obtain security from the ones who killed our innocent workers including females?”
He asked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to elaborate what action has been taken against the police officials who embraced and patted Gullu Butt.
