State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said there would be no load shedding in the country during iftar, sehr and taraweeh timings during Ramadan.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that the government would raise power generation to 85 per cent of the total installed capacity in the country to reduce load shedding during Ramadan.
The minister said there would be equal distribution of electricity in the country during Ramadan.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is taking keen interest to resolve the electricity crisis.
Abid said he had instructed officials to install electricity meters on tubewells at the earliest.
He said that the government is also providing tractors on subsidised rates and offering insurance policy on crops to improve the economic condition of farmers.
