Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah expressed concerns on Saturday over the absence of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on the political front as armed fight terrorists in North Waziristan.
Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House, Shah said he feared that there could be a backlash of the military operation.
“Under these circumstances, Nisar’s absence is a matter of serious concern,” he said.
“Nisar holds a key portfolio. His absence leaves a question mark on the government,” he said.
“I have no idea what is going on within the ruling party at a time when Pakistan is passing through a critical phase,” said Shah.
