Anti-polio drive in 6 UCs of Rawalpindi, Taxila from June 24
In order to avert the risk of spread of polio virus with the arrival of families from North Waziristan, the Punjab Health Department has decided to start five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign in six union councils of Rawalpindi and Taxila tehsils from June 24.
Under the campaign, 955 teams have been tasked to administer anti-polio drops to the children by visiting door to door.
This step is being taken after polio virus was confirmed in children hailing from restive North Waziristan Agency.
