The pre-monsoon in the provincial capital is likely to start from Sunday.
Lahore Chief Meteorologist Riaz Khan said that pre-monsoon spell is likely to continue for a week and temperature would decrease by five to seven degrees Celsius. He said that people of the province would enjoy the pleasant weather throughout the week.
According to daily weather report, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country including the city. However, rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions in next 24 hours.
The weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country including the provincial capital.
Some of the hottest places during last 24 hours were:
Turbat 50 degrees Celsius, Sibbi 47 degrees Celsius, Dadu 46 degrees Celsius, Jacobabad, Bhakkar, Sukkar, Benazirabad and Bahawalnagar 45 degrees Celsius. In the provincial capital maximum temperature was recorded as 42 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
