ANF arrests 15 drug smugglers, seizes 85kg of charas, 10kg of heroin
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 85 kilogrammes (kg) of charas, 10 kg of heroin, 600 grams of opium and four vehicles, arresting 15 drug smugglers during their operations in various cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar, said a press release issued Thursday.

In the meanwhile, Bhara Kahu Police busted a three-member gang involved in robberies and vehicle snatching besides recovering three pistols with ammunition from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Anaar and other officials from Bhara Kahu Police were patrolling on Angoori Road when they were informed that some persons were blocking road for robbery.
When police team reached the spot, it found five persons attempting to block road with stones. On seeing policemen, they tried to sneak but police nabbed three of them after a brief chase.
They have been identified as accused Sadaqat Mehmood s/o Nazakat Ali, Adnan Adil s/o Adil Javed and Azhar Hussain s/o Asrar Hussain while efforts are underway to arrest two of their other accomplices.
The police team recovered three pistols with ammunition from their possession. During preliminary investigation, the dacoits confessed to commit several robberies in the areas of Bhara Kahu, Bari Imam and other areas of Islamabad.
