Zarb-e-Azb continues; 25 killed as jets bomb militant training camp and IED factory: ISPR

Military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ in North Waziristan is being carried out successfully according to the plans, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement on Wednesday.

ISPR added that a training camp and an explosives making factory belonging to the terrorists was bombed in Hasokhel area. 25 terrorists were eliminated in the process.

According to the statement, the cordon around the militant hideouts in Mirali and Miranshah areas of NW has been strengthened while late on Tuesday, three militants were killed by the Pakistani Armed Forces as they attempted to flee from Miranshah.

One soldier was injured in the crossfire, added the ISPR.

The statement further said that civilian areas have not been subjected to a military action as yet while a curfew in Mirali and Razmak was relaxed in order to evacuate families from the areas.

A systematic evacuation plan will be followed in other areas as well. Only once the evacuation has been completed, ground action would be initiated, it said.

Necessary logistics and administrative arrangements for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been completed by the political administration and Disaster Management authorities.

The IDP camps are under the security of the army, said the ISPR.
