Rangers take out TTP commander Zuhair

Rangers killed a vital operative of outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Zuhair alias Salman, during a joint operation with police in Musharraf Colony.

Disclosing the details, the Rangers spokesman said that the terrorist killed the other night belonged the TTP’s Maulvi Khalid group. Hand grenades and weapons including SMGs were recovered from the possession of the saboteur who was killed in a raid in Mauripur area of Musharraf Colony, he added.

The spokesman said a hit-list consisting of several political leaders’ names was recovered from his possession. The hit-list included Farooq Sattar and Hyder Abbas Sattar of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Bashir Jan of the Awami National Party (ANP) and Faisal Raza Abdidi.

He said said the terrorist killed over 15 personnel of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) in Waziristan. Later, he managed to move into Karachi, where he moved from one place to another.

The terrorist, Zuhair, was wanted in the killing of Dr Dilip Kumar as well.
