The bodies of 20 fishermen were found near the Gadani beach on Monday.
Fisheries officials said the bodies were found near Burida Camp in Gadani area. According to initial reports, the fishermen went into the open sea despite a warning from the MET office during Cyclone Nanauk.
Wreckage of a boat was also found at the shore that is likely to belong to the deceased fishermen. Further details are yet to be ascertained about the incident and possible cause of deaths.
CM orders relief actives in high-tide-affected areas
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed to launch relief and rehabilitation activities in areas affected by Arabian Sea high tide.
Presiding over a meeting to review the progress on relief and rehabilitation activities in Karachi, he directed the deputy commissioners of Thatta and Sajawal districts to provide food, water, tents and medical facilities to the affected people.
The chief minister also announced Rs 20 million for each affected district of the province.
