An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday adjourned hearing of Benazir Bhutto (BB) assassination case after lawyers failed to show up due to strike.

Lawyers, however, were on strike over withdrawal of security from Islamabad High Court and police action against a lawyer in Islamabad. They boycotted courts’ proceedings.

On this, ATC judge Pervaiz Ismail issued notices to five witnesses to ensure their presence in the next hearing on June 18.

BB was killed during a bomb attack on her convoy in Rawalpindi during an election rally in December, 2007. She had just returned to Pakistan to lead her party in the elections.
