One paramilitary soldier was martyred while five others were wounded on Saturday in twin blasts in Mohmand Agency, a private news channel reported.
In Chamarkand area of the agency, an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near a security forces vehicle. One security personnel was injured along with two civilians.
The vehicle was damaged in the explosion but the troops remained safe, confirmed Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
When the paramilitary troops reached the scene to investigate the first explosion, they were hit by a second IED blast. One official, identified as Hussain Hawaldar, lost his life in the blast while two others were wounded.
Also on Saturday, a security forces convoy was targeted by explosion in Masehra’s area of Shinkiya. One security man was injured while a civilian was killed in the event.
