The power shortfall in the country again surged to 3,300MW as the total generation on Thursday was recorded as 14,000MW against the demand of 17,300MW at 1300hours.
According to data released by the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), the hydro-generation stood at 5,170MW, Wapda thermal 1,930MW, wind 35MW and independent power producers 6,900MW.
The hydro-generation has significantly increased owing to more water discharge from both the reservoirs Tarbela and Mangla dams and stood at 5,170MW.
