Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General Nasir Durrani said on Thursday that the police force was not imparted the required training to fight terrorism.
Speaking to reporters at a ceremony, Durrani said that the KP police are struggling to cope with the menace of terrorism because of lack of proper training. He added that incidents of extortion and abduction for ransom were going on in the province.
The IG said that investigation was underway into the matter of alleged bribe taking for recruitment in the police force in some districts of the province.
