Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar’s biography, ‘The Substance and the Shadow ‘was launched amidst much fanfare at a star studded event, which was held at Grand Hyatt Hotel, in Mumbai, on Monday.
Present at the book launch were Bollywood veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Danny Denzongpa, Farida Jalal, Vyjayanthimala and Subhash Ghai. Karan Johar hosted the much-talked about event, which was also attended by Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Ayan Mukerji, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Rajkumar Hirani.
Also present were Kumar’s wife Saira Banu and the book’s author Udaya Tara Nayar. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was also expected to attend the biography launch but she couldn’t make it.
