Traffic wardens of City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi have been directed to take action against vehicles parked in double lines at CNG stations.
According to Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Shoaib Khurram Janbaz lifters of CTP will remove the vehicles parked in double lines and fines will be imposed on the violators. He said earlier, the City Traffic Police (CTP) had put a ban on parking vehicles in double lines on the roads at CNG stations and decided to take strict action against the violators.
The CTO said that the double lines at CNG stations create obstructions in smooth flow of traffic on the roads causing troubles for the motorists.
The vehicles parked in double lines would be impounded and challan tickets would be issued to the owners.
The CTO appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the traffic police to ensure smooth traffic flow on roads. He advised the motorists to park their vehicles in single line at CNG stations to wait for their turn.
