Afghan robbers under the net!

 

The Bhara Kahu Police have busted a gang of dacoits belonging to Afghanistan who injured three people during a robbery attempt at Malik Town Kot Hathyal, said a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

Three unidentified persons entered the house of Malik Gulfaraz situated at Malik Town, Kot Hathyal for robbery on June 5 and injured the owner of the house, his son Malik Umer and relative Malik Kifayat through firing.

The police registered a case and shifted the wounded persons to the hospital.

On the special directions of Islamabad SSP Muhammad Ali Nekokara, SP (City) Mustansar Feeroz constituted the special team including Bhara Kau SHO Inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed, Sub Inspector Muhammad Arshad, ASI Imran and other policemen to ensure arrest of the culprits.

This team worked hard and managed to arrest three people involved in this robbery who have been identified Afghan nationals namely Awal Gul, Nurzada and Gulzada.

During the preliminary investigation, they have confessed to be involved in several other criminal incidents and further investigation is underway from them after getting physical remand from the concerned court.

The SP (City) has said that crackdown would be launched against those involved in criminal activities in the area and maximum relief would be provided to the citizens.

The Islamabad SSP has appreciated the performance of Bhara Kahu police team and has announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for team members. He said those showing good performance would be encouraged and sluggish attitude from policemen would not be tolerated. He said it is the prime responsibility of police to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens and maximum efforts would be made to accomplish it.
