Sindh Mango Festival starts from 9th

The annual festival of the mangoes of Sindh province, Sindh Mango Festival, will be held from June 9th to 11th at district Mirpurkhas.

Sindh Minister for Agriculture and Supply and Prices Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar will inaugurate the festival, said a statement issued on Thursday. Over 500 stalls of various kinds of mangoes will be set up in the mango festival. The companies which produce different products from mango will also participate in the event.

Meanwhile, the Sindh agriculture minister directed senior officials of the Sindh agriculture department to employ all resources to introduce mangoes produced in Sindh to international markets. The minister was informed that the annual production of mangoes in Sindh was around 400,000 metric tones. After inauguration, the minister will also visit the stalls in the festival. Consequently, he will also attend a seminar which will be held in connection with the mango festival. The members of Sindh Abadgar Board, Sindh Chamber of Agriculture and other notables are also expected to attend the event.
