PAT, PML propose ten points agenda for welfare of masses

“The provision of basic amenities is responsibility of the State. The PML government has implemented this agenda in Punjab. Pakistan is facing very grave situation, every Pakistani should support patriotic forces for pulling the country out of this grave situation,” said Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Senator Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader Parvez Elahi and Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri while addressing luncheon reception hosted in their honour by PML Europe and Britain. The luncheon reception was also attended by Tariq Bashir Cheema, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Moonis Elahi and Haleem Adil Sheikh as well as PAT Europe and Britain office-bearers.

Thanking the PML Europe and Britain office-bearers, Shujaat said that he was very happy to see them very active. Addressing to Pakistanis living in Britain and in particular the PML workers he said that they could play important role by supporting patriotic forces in pulling the country out of worst conditions. He said that Pakistanis living in foreign countries play important role in strengthening economy of Pakistan.

Shujat said that during his short stint as the prime minister he had tried his level best to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis.

Parvez said that 10 point agenda was a feasible programme. According to the Constitution it was the responsibility of the state to provide health, education and other basic amenities and facilities to the people and this was our agenda, during our government in Punjab from 2002 to 2007 during which we started implementation of agenda for shouldering this responsibility through effective planning and vision and implemented many points quite successfully also.
