As many as 60 ‘influential individuals’ are to be placed in a public advertisement by Lahore High Court (LHC) for their refusal to obey court orders, asking them to submit details of their foreign assets.
The impressive list of such ‘influentials’ to be adorned in a public advertisement by Registrar Office include Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Faryal Talpur, Pervez Musharraf, Kulsoom Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Imran Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chaudhry Shujat, Jehangir Tareen, Aasma Jehangir, Ishaq Dar, Aitazaz Ahsan, Imran Khan, Babar Awan, Hamza Shahbaz, Najam Sethi, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rehman Malik, Javed Hashmi, Sharifud Din Pirzada, Faisal Saleh Hayat, Ghulam Mustafa Khar, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Farooq Sattar, Waseem Sajjad, Mian Mansha, former chief justice Khawaja Sharif, Humayun Akhtar Khan and former LHC CJ Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry.
The public notice asks these ‘influentials’ to submit details of their foreign assets at their earliest, failing which their cases would be carried out in their absentia.
