The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has organised three-day Margalla Sports Festival.
CDA Member Engineering Shahid Sohail inaugurated the festival. The CDA sports and culture DG and other officers attended the inauguration ceremony. The event was held at the National Cricket Stadium, Sector F-7 in Islamabad on Tuesday.
A colourful cultural show along with march-past by the participating teams was part of the inaugurating ceremony. The inaugurating cricket match was played between teams of Military Accountant General and Boots Pharmacy.
On the first day, matches were played between cricket teams of CDA, Zari Taraqiati Bank, PTCL and University of Sargodha. Inter-club and inter-school rugby, lawn tennis and football tournaments and cricket tournament are the part of the festival. These tournaments are being held at different grounds situated in different sectors of the city.
