Doctors are known to be the life savers but now-a-days humanity is rarely seen in such a noble profession and most of the doctors have become greedy professionals. It’s about a month ago when during my visit to an emergency ward of a private hospital I experienced a pathetic scenario in seeking first aid treatment. I was in an immense pain and was feeling restlessness due to illness and the staff was continuously saying to my attendants: “Your patient is not that much serious. In fact she seems to be quite well. The doctor is on round and will be here in five minutes.”
Besides several complaints to the management those five minutes turned out to be 90 minutes. When the doctor finally came to see me, she showed no worry or concern for her long listed patients. This self-centred attitude of our society has made us stone hearted. I request to all the doctors out there to please do justice with the responsibility they have been tasked with.
