Dar to present 2nd budget in NA tomorrow

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will present second annual national budget 2014-2015 of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government in the National Assembly tomorrow (Tuesday) at 4.30 pm.

The president has summoned the National Assembly to meet in the Parliament House on June. All necessary arrangements have been made for conducting annual budget session. After four-day interval from the date of presentation of annual budget, the House will be ready for general debate on the different allocations.

As a part of decent democratic traditions in Pakistan, opposition parties are given maximum time to take the floor and freely express their point of view on budget allocations in the House. The valuable proposals and suggestions from either sides are taken care of by the Federal Finance Minister while winding up the debate.

Apart from diplomats and other dignitaries, first time President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Zakaria Usman, Zonal Chairman PFCCI, Islamabad, Munawar Mughal, VP SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pak chapter Iftikhar Ali Malik have also been invited by the federal finance minister to witness the budget session proceedings.

The annual budget sessions of the Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assemblies will also be convened soon after presentation of national budget. The security arrangements have also been beefed up in and around the House for forthcoming budget session. Display of security cards has also bee made mandatory for all including media.
