The bereaved families have demanded the authorities concerned to take notice, conduct laboratory test of the measles vaccine and take stern action against those responsible for the loss of precious lives.

They raised questions over the quality of vaccine being used in anti-measles campaign and condemned the provincial government for continuing the campaign despite the adverse effects of the vaccine on children.

Official sources were of the opinion that the major cause of the deaths is untrained staff members providing services in the campaign.

The affected families were not satisfied with the government’s viewpoint and asked why untrained staff was allowed to play with lives of their children.
