Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Saturday questioned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his son Hassan Nawaz’s visit to Indian steel tycoon Jindal’s house in New Delhi.
In a press statement, Khan claimed that no western democratic leader engaged in business while being in office as it was a clear conflict of interest. The cricketer-turned-politician said that Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) closed down his clothes shop when he became a caliph as he felt that others in the business would not be able to compete.
The PTI chief regretted that the notion of conflict of interest was totally “ignored” by the leaders when in power.
Khan said that Sharif’s business had multiplied after being in power and “even more disturbing” was the fact that his family was allegedly one of UK’s biggest investors.
“Yet, instead of bringing his own funds back to Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has done numerous overseas trips to attract investment from overseas,” he said.
Khan concluded that going to the steel bigwig’s house for tea in New Delhi when he could not find time to meet Hurriyet leaders reflected “misplaced priorities” of the premier.

Well said kaptaan! Just google nawaz sharif and you’ll see how true Imran is. Nawaz owns sharif group who own Pakistan steel from source to end user. Now, I doubt David Cameron or Barack Obama own any national business. Nawaz sharif is pakistans 3rd richest person ( behind Asif zardari ). Again no western countries leaders have wealth surpassing the national treasury!! Yes!! Nawaz sharif had more money than the state of Pakistan! And in closure – yeh hai Pakistan meray Jaan!
